“Chemistry Lessons” author talk: 7 p.m. June 20, Book Ends, 559 Main St., Winchester. Author Meredith Goldstein will discuss her book, titled “Chemistry Lessons.” Goldstein is an advice columnist and features reporter for The Boston Globe. She’s been writing her column,” Love Letters” — a daily dispatch of wisdom for the lovelorn — since 2009. Her columns get about 1,500 reader comments a day and have received up to 100,000 page views for one entry. Goldstein ’s debut novel, “The Singles” — about the only dateless guests at a wedding — was released in 2012.

“Neverworld Wake” author talk: 7 p.m. June 21, Book Ends, 559 Main St., Winchester. Author Marisha Pessl will discuss her book “Neverworld Wake,” a psychological suspense thriller. Pessl is the author of “Night Film” and “Special Topics in Calamity Physics,” her bestselling debut, which was awarded the Center for Fiction’s First Novel Prize and selected as one of the Ten Best Books of the Year by the New York Times Book Review. She lives with her husband and two children in New York City.

“Pass It On!” author talk: 2 p.m. June 23, Book Ends, 559 Main St., Winchester. Author Gloria Burgess will discuss her book, titled “Pass It On!” The book, illustrated by Gerald Purnell, is a children’s picture book about the author’s father, Earnest McEwen Jr., and his relationship with Nobel Laureate and Pulitzer Prize-winning author William Faulkner. Burgess is one of Seattle’s “top inspirational” speakers, and has presented keynotes to tens of thousands of people in nearly 30 countries.
